Ibn-Alhaytham (HZM) Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. was established in the Al-Mansoura area of Aleppo, Syria in August 1994 as a Private Limited Company. It has since become one of the fastest growing finished formulation pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in Syria, providing an innovative, high quality range of healthcare products.
The company began its activities in co-operation with two Italian pharmaceutical companies: Benedetti and Ripari-Gero, but now manufactures many of its products independently.

The factory employs 200 onsite personnel, who undergo regular training sessions to keep them up-to-date with the latest technological and production advances within the pharmaceutical industry. Marketing and Distribution:

Ibn-Alhaytham is fully prepared to take on the challenges of the future, and has therefore established an extensive distribution service throughout Syria. Approximately 100 sales personnel are employed to promote and deliver our products to over 5000 pharmacies within the country.

As well as having a successful internal market for its products, Ibn-Alhaytham has also established a growing export market. The countries with which it has export agreements include: Armenia, Iraq, Jordan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan and Yemen.

146 pharmaceutical machines are distributed between the various production departments. All machines conform to GMP regulations. Standard Work Procedures are followed rigidly.

Each production department is headed by its own production manager.
